SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

The TERUNNA Foundation supports the production, distribution and export of organic products, medicinal plants and handicrafts. We work directly with farmers, healers-women and artists in a philosophy of fair trade. The foundation is pleased to present its first article in the handicrafts category: the Mochillas Los Mochillas, symbols of the creation of the Yapha life of women. Creating Backpack is a continuous meditation.

When they are weaving, women are healing their lineage, Mother Nature or transforming thoughts into food for all beings. Weaving Backpacks is an ancestral art from Sierra Nevada. It is a form of prayer whose knowledge is transmitted from generation to generation to create fabrics of blessings. Each Backpack has unique patterns that illustrate the symbols of the creation of life to protect the person who wears it. The Backpacks presented by the Foundation are from the Aruaco native culture. Backpacks is the traditional name given to bags created according to this art.

With your support, the tradition continues and expands. With your purchase, you help indigenous families in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, to preserve their tradition and spread their message to the world.
